How to Use Low Cost Articles to Get More Traffic

Article marketing is a basic method for generating site traffic and getting the backlinks that are crucial for search engine optimization, or SEO.  Therefore, low cost articles are a very attractive way to market your services or products online, and this is primarily due to backlinks – those links that direct visitors to your site, which you can insert in the unique articles.  There are two primary ways in which you could use these cheap articles to boost your website traffic, and in turn, increase your sales.  The first way is through word-of-mouth advertising that would naturally ensue as your articles become more popular, especially if these are both helpful and informative.  The second way is through the generation of backlinks that are required to cause the search engines to place the URL of your website on the top page of their search results.

The search engines usually calculate the relevance of your site to a specific keyword or phrase by counting the number of quality backlinks to your website.  Thus, one of the primary SEO methods is to optimize the number of quality backlinks, and unique article content is one effective strategy for organic production of these links.  It is important to note here that the backlinks should be created in the conventional manner – through a site linking to another relevant site – as opposed to the gray-hat method of link farms.  This can be accomplished by submitting your articles to e-zines and article directories.  With this strategy, people will have a better chance of locating your articles.  Some individuals may then wish to republish your articles in their own sites, after discovering that the content of your articles is both useful and informative.  Because you will not permit them to make any changes to your articles, especially the backlinks that you have placed on them, each person who republishes your article will contribute one more backlink for you.  The effect of this phenomenon may not be noticeable, at first, but it will gradually accelerate in time.

Of course, it is necessary to make sure that you submit high quality articles, or you will not have many readers.  Luckily, you can always find companies offering article writing services on the Internet, if you do not have the desire or the time to compose the articles yourself.  You can specify the number of words and the keyword density to be used.  Just be careful in picking your writing services provider, although low cost articles do not necessary mean that the content produced is of low quality.  You will have to identify that unique combination of low price and quality of content when choosing your provider.
